Mother's Day

A mother's love is forever- for it lives in your heart and your memories.

And is part of all that you do.

Mother’s Day can be tough on the adult child of a Mom with Dementia. Especially if Mom no longer knows who you are. Don’t bother with asking; “Mom, what daughter am I? What’s my name”? Instead introduce yourself with just your name and a smile!

Bring her a keepsake from her past as a gift. This could be a family portrait, vintage jewelry, a classic book or a favorite perfume.

As you spend time with your Mom this year just love her up and know you can’t change her but you can enjoy her.

Happy Mother’s day! #DementiaTipThursday
